Reliable Credit Association, Inc. is an independently owned and operated consumer finance company incorporated in 1958 under the laws of the state of Oregon. Initially we limited our business to buying consumer retail installment contracts issued by automobile and household goods dealers, and leasing equipment. In 1960 we began originating consumer loans. In 1994 the shareholders of Reliable Credit Association, Inc. organized Reliable Credit Association, Inc. (WA) under the laws of the state of Washington.

Currently we offer direct consumer loans to qualified Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Arizona residents, and purchase contracts from approved dealers located in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, and Northern California.

In our 50 plus year history we have witnessed and successfully operated through several business cycles. While during the "Great Recession" the media explained that many financial institutions were seriously weakened or liquidated due to faulty underwriting standards, we were not one of them. We continued to focus on applicants' ability to pay and we try to appropriately price for our risk. Furthermore, we are not leveraged to the extent of many of the financial institutions that suffered.

We are proud to be associated with the following trade associations; American Financial Services Association, Oregon Financial Services Association, Washington State Financial Services Association, and the Idaho Financial Services Association. We are pleased to be long time accredited members of the Better Business Bureau and National Federation of Independent Business.
