Text Message Policy

Reliable Credit Association, Inc. and Reliable Credit Association, Inc. (WA) ("Reliable") send text messages to customers for whom Reliable has obtained prior express consent in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The text messages come from two third-party sources. One source sends collection and servicing text messages as requested by Reliable ("collection text messages") and the other source sends payment reminders and payment scheduling alerts as requested by the customer through Reliable's eServices portal ("alert preference messages"). The collection text messages and alert preference messages are collectively referred to as "text messages".

Some of the collection text messages may include a link to Reliable's website. It is our policy to send no more than two (2) collection text messages per business week to each mobile number associated with an account. The frequency of alert preference messages depends on the specific alerts turned "on" by the customer in Reliable's eServices portal.

You understand that:

  • Your cellular provider's message and data rates may apply to all text messages.
  • You should take precautionary steps to safeguard your mobile device as all text messages may be seen by anyone with access to your mobile device.

Please notify us immediately if you change your mobile number.

We may modify this Text Message Policy at any time. Any modifications will be posted on our website.

How to Opt-Out
If you wish to stop receiving collection text messages from Reliable, reply STOP to any collection text message or call the branch location that services your account. Contact information for each branch location may be found at https://www.reliablecredit.com/contact.html. If you wish to stop receiving alert preference messages, please log into Reliable's eServices portal and turn "off" the alerts you no longer wish to receive.

How to Obtain Support
If you need help or information regarding a collection text message, reply HELP to any collection text message or call the branch location that services your account. If you reply HELP to a collection text message, we will send you a message with contact information for Reliable and a link to this Text Message Policy.
